Hello!
I feel slightly false as I begin to write because I am guilty of starting many blogs in the past but never continuing with them as I run out of things to write about. However, this one is different, it has a purpose and a direction and whilst I'm aware others may read it, this one is more personal.
In September/October of this year I am taking a giant step into the world and undertaking an ERASMUS year abroad in Bologna, Italy. I'm a student at an English University and this is an opportunity of a life time. I would love to be able to look back on my time, whilst providing friends and family with perhaps a place they can look to see my latest adventures.
I'm just going to keep updating as I progress towards departure over the summer months :)
So far I've filled in a LOT of paperwork, and there's MUCH more to come! I've done a lot of research into my University and area. Currently, myself and a friend I am going with, Emma are researching accommodation options online, a rather frustrating process considering neither of us speak any real level of Italian.
I purchased a case that's the correct size for flight hand luggage so I can put more things in there as I know packing for a year is going to be rather impossible! It's hot pink, and whilst I wanted black, they had sold out because they were on an incredible offer for £9.99 so I had to snap one up, regardless of colour.
I've looked roughly at flights, although we don't have a date yet because the University does not update its academic calender until some time in July. We can get there for about £40 with Ryanair which is pretty good! Although I'm quite sure my travel to the London airport we must fly from will probably cost more!
Anywho..just thought I'd introduce this blog if anyone who doesn't know me comes across it! I'll try to keep the updates short and frequent whenever I do something towards my new journey!
